Education Director & Teacher

Mrs Kristy Burt has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and holds six New York State teaching certifications from Birth to 9th grade. As an undergrad she completed her BA in Psychology and Inclusive Childhool Education. She has worked with Early Childhood and Elementary students for more than 18 years and is the proud mother of 6 active boys. In her free time she enjoys reading, camping, bonfires, playing board games, and family gatherings. She believes in providing an education for each child in a way that uses their personal strengths to help them build confidence and grow in all areas of development.  Please feel free to contact Mrs. Burt to assist with any questions or to schedule a school tour.

 

 

 

 


Universal Pre-K Teacher

Mrs. Tonya White has a Master's Degree in Childhood Education from the University of Albany and holds a New York State Teaching Certificate in Childhood Education.  Prior to obtaining her Maste's Degree, she attended Wells College where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Pyschology with a Minor in Elementary Education.  She is currently working on obtaining her Early Childhood Education Certificate, which will be completed in August 2017.  She has worked in the Early Childhood field since 2010, getting her start in a Head Start program before transitioning to our UPK program.  Mrs. Tonya has a passion for teaching, camping, boating, and spending time with her family.  She believes that children learn their best when they are allowed to explore their environments through play.  She also believes that once children have gained social emotional confidence that they are better able and ready to learn and participate in the classroom environment.

 

 


Preschool Assistant Teacher

Mrs. Cheri Palmer grew up in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High. She is the proud mother of 5 children and 8 grandchildren. After years of working in the resturant and hotel business she decided to switch gears and stay home to help take care of her grandchildren. Mrs. Cheri's love for children lead her to the role of Preschool Assistant Teacher where she is adored by all the children she works with. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling,and spending quality time with family and close friends.

Mrs. Katrina developes themed classes geared to promote learning and exploration for early childhood development. These classes run 5  times per year in 6 week sessions. She is a mom of 3 beautiful girls and worked as a prechool teacher for

Substitue Teachers

Mrs. Cassie Mignault received her Bachelers Degree in Elementary Education from Union College in Lincoln, NE.  She spent 10 years teaching students in grades 4-10, including one year in Yap, FSM, where she gained a love for other cultures. For the past five years she has been substitute teaching and helping her husband with his buisness.  She enjoys traveling, researching family history, outdoor activities, and playing games with friends.  Her favoirite part of teaching is seeing a students eyes light up as they begin to grasp new concepts.
